Location: Kentish Town, London. Salary: £26,530 - £28,366 per annum. Permanent, Full Time. Closing date: 05/01/09.

One Parent Families|Gingerbread is the leading charity working to promote the interests and welfare of Britain's 1.9 million single parent families. We help single parents achieve their ambitions by providing support services and working to influence the policies that affect their lives.

The Lone Parent Helpline is our flagship national helpline service offering single parents help and advice on the main issues arising from relationship breakdown and coping with raising children on their own, and providing on-line information and publications for single parents. This is an exciting time as we plan to grow the service to reach even more single parents.

We are looking for an Information Officer who can use their in depth knowledge of the issues affecting single parents to write clear understandable publications and web content for single parents and the professionals who work with them. You will work closely with Advice Workers, ensuring that as team we are experts in the latest information that single parents need. You will need excellent copy writing skills, as well as a background in advice work, specialising in welfare benefits and tax credits.
