Will everyone go on to the new scheme straight away?

No. New applicants will go onto the new C-MEC scheme from the date it comes in. Existing CSA parents who have chosen to transfer will be brought over in stages between 2011 and 2013.

I'm owed child maintenance. Will C-MEC pursue the arrears owed to me?
Yes. The Government plans to introduce new measures to improve collection and enforcement as soon as it can, starting in 2009. Already the CSA has an Operational Improvement Plan which is intended to collect an additional £213 million by March 2009.
