Holidays 2008: the guide for lone parents

Several of the mainstream holiday parks offer accessible holidays. Some package holidays also claim that their products are suitable for disabled people, but you should double check when you book. Ask the travel agent for the Gazetteer for a straightforward account of the resort you are visiting.
There are many organisations that can provide information about holidays for disabled children going away with or without their family. There may also be financial help available towards the cost of a holiday. In addition, there are organisations that 'grant wishes', for example, organising holidays for children who have a life limiting condition. See the 'Useful organisations' page for further details.
