You may become entitled to a disability element of Child Tax Credit or Working Tax Credit if either you or a child in your family have a long-term sickness or disability. You must report this to the Tax Credit Office in order to become entitled to the extra amount.

If you or a child you are claiming for stop being entitled to a disability element of Child Tax Credit or Working Tax Credit, for example because your child stops receiving Disabled Living Allowance, you should report this to avoid building up an overpayment.
