Parks are fun for children. Some have small zoos or petting corners, playgrounds and activities, where children can have fun and you can meet other parents. Ask at your local library for your nearest.

Children would also enjoy a visit to a City/Community Farm. These are real farms, in towns, and there are many all over the country.
