Parent Partnership Services

Parent Partnership Services also provide advice, support and information to parents and carers whose children have special educational needs at all levels of the process from School Action to appeals regarding statements. All local education authorities must make arrangements for such services which can be based within the local education authority or they may choose to 'buy in' the service from elsewhere, such as a voluntary organisation.

The aim of Parent Partnership Services is to ensure that parents have access to information, advice and guidance in relation to the special educational needs of their children so that they can make informed decisions. Contact your local education authority for more information about your local parent partnership service, or log on to www.parentpartnership.org.uk. In some areas in Wales the Parent Partnership Service may be known as SNAP Cymru.
