Sporting Events - the British 10k run

Thank you to all of our British 10k runners who braved the wind and rain on Sunday 1 July to raise money for our Children First initiative that supports the welfare of children in one-parent families.

The One Parent Families|Gingerbread team was headed by the charity's senior managers, with its chief executive Chris Pond running alongside Nigel Purkis, deputy chief executive, and Sanjeev Gupta, the director of fundraising and communications. Rosie Graham, sales and marketing officer and Vicky Peacey, research officer also ran the 10k to raise money for the charity.

Chris Pond says, "We're delighted to be able to run the British 10k and help raise the funds needed to support children in one parent families who suffer disproportionate disadvantage caused by poverty, social exclusion and stigma."
