September 2007 The context for this debate was the Green Paper 'In Work, Better Off' published in July. The Green Paper suggests that from 2008, lone parents whose youngest child is aged 12 should claim Jobseeker's Allownace (rather than Income Support), and that from 2010, this should apply to lone parents whose youngest child is aged seven.
