The NCOPF archive - tracing the history of lone parenthood

One Parent Families|Gingerbread's archive, containing materials going back to the charity's foundation in 1918, has been donated to The Women's Library.
 From October 17, 2007, to March 29, 2008, the Women's Library is hosting the exhibition 'Sinners, scroungers and saints: lone monthers, past and present' in collaboration with One Parent Families|Gingerbread.
 
 The archive launch The opening of the archive was marked at a seminar at the Library in November 2003 , which traced the history of one-parent families and the charity, and how historic themes and policies resonate with the present-day.
 Speakers were Rt Hon Baroness Hollis of Heigham, Beatrix Campbell, Professor Jane Millar, Professor Carol Smart, Professor Hilary Land, Mavis Maclean and Professor Pat Thane.
