Our email advice service for lone parents in the City of Manchester has been set up to provide information and advice to lone parents and those who have the main care of a dependent child/ren and are parenting on their own. It is also for use by anyone ringing on behalf of a lone parent in the city of Manchester. 
PLEASE NOTE: If this does not apply to you, we will not be able to reply to your email. But if you are a lone parent, please telephone the Lone Parent Helpline on 0800 018 5026 whose staff can give information and advice to callers from anywhere in Great Britain.

- What money you have coming in (include benefits, tax credits, wages, child maintenance pensions etc).
- Whether anyone in your household has a disability or illness.
- Details of childcare arrangement and costs.
- If you have a mortgage, in whose name is the property?
- If you are renting, in whose name is the tenancy? Also say if you rent from Manchester City Council, a housing association or privately.
