Updated November 2006
We aim to:- provide anyone bringing up children on their own with a fast, accurate and objective information service.

- be a centre of excellence on lone parent issues, in the provision of information and specialist advice services, in policy research and development, and in the design and delivery of professional services.

- positively represent lone parents and their children.

- be an organisation which is prepared to be innovative and to take considered risks.

- test and demonstrate new ways of working which provide models for mainstream services and inform the policy debate.

- work strategically with partners from voluntary, public, and private sectors, to develop solutions to meeting the needs of lone parents, and to ensure that our services are complementary.

- treat all clients with respect and courtesy, and provide a non-judgmental, professional service.

- protect the confidentiality of clients, supporters and partners.

- consistently review our services, and monitor our performance, to ensure that we are meeting clients' needs.

- strive to be a learning organisation, which supports staff and volunteers to enable them to maximise their contribution to meeting the charity's objectives.

- be accountable to our clients, our funders, our members, and the public.
